Kjell Nordstokke is Professor of Diakonia at Diakonhjemmet University College in Oslo. He has wide experience of board-related activities, and with experience from the Board at Diakonhjemmet and that of other organisations.

"Norwegian Church Aid is one of Norway's most important actors for international development cooperation.  The organisation manages to combine the task of giving a voice to the churches of Norway with that of entering into dialogue with the wider population and politicians. That's food for the soul as far as I'm concerned," says Nordstokke.

Nordstokke has experience as a manager and an employee within organisations in Norway and abroad. He has worked in Brazil and Switzerland, and participated in many conferences and consultations arranged by ecumenical organisations.

The Chairman has taught in many countries around the world such as South Africa, Botswana, Taiwan, El Salvador and Bolivia. His subjects are most often related to diakonia and church-based development cooperation.
