Norwegian Church Aid does not have a political mandate. However, we do have a mandate to undertake all possible efforts to ensure that all human beings in our globalised world can enjoy their own human dignity in security, and have all their basic rights fulfilled.
Norwegian Church Aid works with its partner organisations in a large number of countries to improve living conditions and challenge national authorities to strengthen the position of the poor segments of the population.
To do this, Norwegian Church Aid also needs to monitor the policies of the Norwegian government with regard to mass poverty, which cannot be eradicated without fundamental changes to the policies of wealthy nations.
