Market dialogue and tender for private partners
NCA invited a broad spectrum of companies and other actors, such as technical universities and non-profits, to a "Market dialogue" that aimed to enrich the innovation process with the largest possible range of ideas and potential solutions. This process included three sessions during which interested partners had the opportunity to better understand the challenges of Aid workers and the communities that NCA helps.
The market dialogue informed a tender document for an open call for proposals to select the most relevant partner for the project. NCA has now reached a collaboration agreement with Octree for the development of the solution and technical support related to it.

Participating in the market dialogue did not prevent potential partners from bidding for the contract. Although participating in the process could help potential partners make a relevant proposal, participation alone did not confer an advantage in the procurement selection process.
While NCA promoted the tool internally and among like-minded organizations, a private sector partner could market the product and expand its use to other potentially interested clients outside of the aid sector.
Therefore, NCA was looking for a committed partner interested in continuing the partnership to scale the solution and expand it to other users in the mid-term.
