Nethope

NetHope is a consortium of leading global nonprofits that work together to incorporate cutting edge technologies for smarter developmental programmes by international aid and humanitarian agencies. Together, the NetHope community strives to transform the world, building a platform of hope for those who receive aid and those who deliver it.

Norwegian Church Aid, with two other members GOAL and Team Rubicon Global, is part of this global platform, now boasting a membership of 57 organisations. There are regional chapters for NetHope in the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Latin America, which means our NCA colleagues from all our country offices will be able to benefit from the membership.

"Collectively, NetHope members deliver over 60 percent of all international non-governmental aid. With the addition of these three new, committed members, the NetHope community just got stronger," said Lauren Woodman, NetHope CEO. "They join us in a common goal: to apply the promise and power of technology to the problems and potential of humanity. They also join us at an exciting time. We recently launched The Center for the Digital Nonprofit, and these new members will join us on this exciting journey of transformation."

"Norwegian Church Aid is committed to continuous improvement of our work, and we see how crucial it is to engage with digitalization and an increased use of ICT for both internal systems and value creation in the field," said Pio Ding, acting Director of International Programmes. "Working in partnership with peer organizations and companies is vital for this work. Our ambition in joining the NetHope partnership is to contribute to the development of the knowledge base, and to access the competencies we need to meet new challenges."
