Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. The mortality rate among mothers and children is high. Our work enables people, especially women to claim their rights and build their capacity for socio-economic change. We implement our programs together with local partner organizations and in close contact with local government structures. In 2018, Norwegian Church Aid experienced an alert case with a partner organization. The allegations were investigated and the partnership has been terminated. The amount of NOK 112,364 has been repaid to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
