Norad: Drip irrigation systems in Zambia are among the highlights of 2023

NCA has several grant agreements with Norad.
The two main agreements are NCAs five-year agreements (2025-2029) with Norad for humanitarian and long-term funding;
The total value of the Humanitarian Strategic Partnership agreement 2025-2029 is NOK 1.16 billion. With this, NCA aims to save lives, alleviate suffering, safeguard human dignity and rights in armed conflicts and humanitarian crises. The global grant is implemented through humanitarian programmes in 12 countries, and focuses on the following sectors: Protection, Climate-resilient WASH, Emergency response and food security, Anticipatory and climate action and Localisation and advocacy.
With a total value of NOK 2.12 billion for the period 2025-2029, NCA’s Civil Society agreement with Norad is the largest agreement yet granted to any NGO. The global grant “Faith in Action – Mobilising Civil Society for Lasting Social Change” is implemented through programmes in 17 countries, one regional grant (NCA Advocacy Programme Africa), as well as through global ecumenical partners and other global initiatives. With the overall goal to strengthen civil society through equitable partnerships with civil society actors for locally led action to save lives, build resilience and seek justice - the grant supports initiatives in all NCA's thematic areas.
NCA’s work in Ukraine and Moldova is supported through the Norad Nansen Support Programme for Ukraine, with a three-year grant agreement (2025-2027)
The value of the Ukraine agreement for 2025 is NOK 90 million. NCA’s overall goal for this response is to “Save lives, alleviate distress and safeguard human dignity” and that “People in need have received the necessary protection and assistance in line with the humanitarian principles”. NCA aims to reach an estimated total of 238,855 individuals with humanitarian assistance and protection services across southern and eastern Ukraine and targeted locations in Moldova.
