Despite economic growth, poverty is still widespread in Tanzania. Norwegian Church Aid works with 11 faith-based partner organizations providing the poor with opportunities through savings and loan groups, micro-investment in sustainable agriculture, and educating anti-corruption groups and supporting faith-based actors in their work for a more just society. In 2019, Norwegian Church Aid received an email from a consultant with accusations of inadequate governance in one of our projects. The case was thoroughly reviewed by us and later by Norad, concluding that there was no basis for the allegations. The case was subsequently closed in September 2019.
