Norwegian Church Aid’s new Director of Communications

We are excited to announce that Anne Kirkhusmo will be the new Director of Communications at Norwegian Church Aid.

Anne will start on June 1st and will lead the Communications Department with 14 employees at the head office as well as working in close cooperation with our staff in humanitarian operations and country offices around the world.

"I am very happy to announce that Anne will be joining the team. She is a strong and experienced communicator with a long and varied background in leadership and communication.  Anne has a great commitment to NCA's work and our mission, and we look forward to welcoming her in June, says Lisa Sivertsen, NCA's Acting General Secretary.

Anne is currently the Director of Communications at The Language Council of Norway ('Språkrådet') and has previously worked with communication, media and the press for The Norwegian Tax Administration ('Skatteetaten'), The Norwegian Institute of Public Health ('Folkehelseinstituttet') and NRK (the largest media organisation in Norway).  She has a Bachelor in Journalism and a Master of Management in Public Relations and Strategic Communication.

"Getting to contribute to helping people in need and working for a more just world through Norwegian Church Aid's communication work is not only an exciting and challenging task, but also perhaps the most important social mission an organization can have. I look forward to being a part of this important and meaningful work, ”says Anne.

"In a time of great humanitarian need, increasing inequality and dramatic climate change, our communication work is more important than ever. We want to highlight the great need around the world and also the good solutions that we know are able to make a real difference. Anne has both the experience and strategic abilities to take on this important task," says Lisa.
