Gender-based Violence/Sexual Reproductive Health (GBV/SRH)

Norwegian Church Aid’s gender-based violence/sexual reproductive health programme emphasizes on the empowerment of women and girls so that they enjoy lives free from gender-based violence.

Norwegian Church Aid works with civil society and government structures to transform dominant social norms by creating a critical mass that protects women and girls from gender-based violence and harmful practices. Another focus area is improving access to lifesaving and specialised gender-based violence services for women and girls at risk and survivors of gender-based violence. Norwegian Church Aid strengthens systems and the capacity of service providers and builds access for comprehensive sexuality education and modern family planning including Sexual Reproductive Health services for women and adolescents.
