Climate Resilient WASH

1.1 # of communities expressing satisfaction with the way duty bearer address community WASH needs

Purpose:

Satisfaction by communities in the way decisions are made is fundamental to the appropriateness and eventual sustainability of the initiatives resulting from those decisions.  NCA also has an obligation to report on our CHS commitments, and this indicator can help us to do that.

Frequency

Baseline, endline. Two years into the programme this indicator should be measured on an annual basis.

Data Source

Household survey. Aggregate responses from individuals (respondents to a household survey) to determine a community’s satisfaction.

How to Collect

How to analyse

Extract relevant question from household (KAP) survey on respondents (sex, age and disability disaggregated) expressing satisfaction with the way duty bearers address community WASH needs.

Calculate the % of people in a community expressing satisfaction by dividing the number of people who were “very satisfied” or “fairly satisfied” by the total number of respondents and multiply the result by 100.

For a community to express satisfaction, at least 66% of people must be satisfied.  The number of communities expressing satisfaction is the aggregate of communities in the entire program
