Faith-Based Climate Action

The participation of communities to influence decision-making about climate action takes center-stage in our work.

Norwegian Church Aid Ethiopia works with faith-based organizations and secular resource partner organizations to mobilize (faith) communities to become change agents for climate action. Community members are enabled to act on climate change at the grassroots, but also to be key advocates for climate policies and their implementation.

Another approach is to mobilize and strengthen the ability of grassroots communities to prepare and respond to climate-related hazards by adapting their farming and diversifying households’ livelihood options.
